Something to put in place now so when covid ends you are ready to go

It’s easy to forget there are other ways to get the job done. 
For example, nowadays, in everyone touts the importance of social media saying things like if you’re not on social you will soon be out of business etc. 

Do I use social media yes matter of fact some of the readers of Eric’s Escapades came from my Social Media advertising BUT let’s not forget there are other ways to generate business and bring attention to what it is that you do.

The truth is EVERYTHING you do should work together to get the results you want to achieve.  One of my mentors taught me to look at what everyone in business is doing and don’t do that and you’ll be ahead of the game. 

The logic is simple if EVERYONE is doing the same thing it can’t possibly be the most effective thing you could do. 

I bring this up because when following the crowd, it’s EASY to forget there are other actions you can take to get the results your going after. 
Someone asked me how they could get more business with families throwing birthday parties.  I said here is what you do and I guarantee this will get you business.

Here is what I told the person.  First, I asked the question what do people usually have at a birthday party to eat?

They answered a cake.

I said exactly here is what you do.  Find a local bakery in your area that makes cakes and talk with the owner tell them what you do and ask can you leave some flyers in their location and offer to give them a percentage if you generate any business.

Most will say sure feel free to leave your flyer, especially if you have purchased baked goods in the past. 

How do I know for sure this works? Because I did this myself.
Now here is how you grow it.  Go to every bakery in your city and do the same thing.  Naturally everyone is not going to say yes.  But let’s say out of 100 bakeries 50 say sure leave your flyer. 
Now let’s say you only get an average of “ONLY” two people per bakery to do business with you over the course of an entire year.
 
Well that equals 100 clients. 

Your total investment is the cost of printing the flyers and driving around to meet the owners / replenish the flyers.  I would suggest giving the owner a percentage or make sure you purchase some baked goods even if you don’t eat that stuff just give it away. 

Easy! 

This has nothing to do with social media but works wonders.  Since we are in the middle of Covid 19 right now you might have to wait but as soon as we get back to what was I would JUMP on this if that’s your business. 

With a little bit of thought you can see how this applies to lots of business and how to make it apply to what YOU DO!
