One day more then 25 years ago I’m going a
street theater show in the Legendary Atlanta
Underground. This was the street venue I performed
at when I first moved to Atlanta.
During a performance I performed a memory
demonstration in which I memorized a bunch of
stuff and recalled the info to the audience in an
After the act an older man approached me and says
he would never be able to do what I just did. I
tell him sure you can and I walk him through a
scaled down version of what I just did.
The man memorized the items just fine and then
gets tears in his eyes and says he was told his
entire life he was learning disabled and I just
proved that wrong.
We had a nice conversation while I prepared for
the next performance. I told him how what I just
taught him could be used in a variety of ways.
I was first introduced to memory techniques while
I was in the school library looking for magic
books. I came across the name Harry Lorayne which
I was familiar with because he was the author of a
magic book I owned.
I go the table with my stack of books and discover
the book from Harry Lorayne was not a magic book
but a book called The Memory Book. I learned in
that moment that Mr. Lorayne professional career
was as a memory expert / trainer.
I started reading his book on memory and started
to apply what I learned.
Fast forward years later that’s how I explained
to the guy how to memorized some random objects.
I bring all of this up because yesterday I asked
the question do you have any interest on a mini
training on how to memorize your talk thought for
thought. You won’t have to use notes and this
will allow you to move through your speech very
I asked the question and MANY people SAID YES Eric
I have an interest in that training. I have
provided the invitation to the meeting in the P.S.
If I “remember” I will send a reminder leading
up to Monday August 23, 2021 at 7:00pm.
Remember to take the info in the P.S. and put it
on your schedule.
Thank you for attending another episode of
