One Day, I Had A Crazy Idea
- I wanted to take my childhood hobby the Art of Magic and turn it into a business that would pay me great money while allowing me to travel the world.
I was living in San Diego at the time and the foster family I lived with laughed in my face and told me my life would NEVER amount to anything.
They thought it was a big joke.
They repeatedly told me I was a failure and I would be a failure my entire life.
After aging out of the foster care system I worked a few odd jobs and even served a very brief stint in the Air Force but I found myself back in San Diego working a few jobs which included unloading Naval ships and driving a cab to make some extra money.
With No Family, No Support
System and Very Little Money
I knew if I wanted to change my life, I had to do something very different from what I was doing at that time.
So, I went to the bus station and purchased a one-way bus ticket from San Diego to Atlanta Georgia I arrived three days later ready to make my dream come true and become a professional magician.
When I moved to Atlanta without knowing anything about the city, I found myself living in the worst part of town in a rooming house with a prostitute as a roommate.
Eventually I ran out of money and found myself homeless. I was beyond desperate and begin to wonder could I ever turn my life around were the people in the foster home going to be correct?

- Working long term in a traditional job was out because I could not even find a job at the time. On top of that the few jobs I had in the past my employers treated me like crap. Let’s not even talk about the stress of possibly being FIRED! Yep dealt with that reality too. Frankly I was scared to give someone else this much power over my life.
- College was out because I did not have the time, money or the grades to make that happen plus I knew college offered no guarantees either.
- I attended numerous seminars searching for answers and realized the people on stage rarely provided any real value in their message. If it was something, I wanted to try I needed a small fortune just to participate still with no guarantee it would even work.
- Before leaving San Diego, a friend suggested when I arrive in Atlanta, I could get a Suga Mama to take care of me.
